18 September 2018 the leader Have you heard about the newest corporate real estate designation – the QPCR? Amy Dreher Vice President, Learning & Professional Development CoreNet Global M E S S A G E F R O M L E A R N I N G F ind out what the buzz is all about. The Qualified Professional of Corporate Real Estate (QPCR) designation is specifically designed for individuals with less than five years of experience in corporate real estate (CRE). This includes many of our CoreNet Global Young Leaders. It is designed, however, for anyone new to the CRE profession. The program offers new ways to earn a CoreNet Global designation. Learning takes place through a variety of technology platforms, in response to challenges shared by members. Can't get individual approval for multiple training classes? Sign up for the QPCR designation package. Can't get travel approval? Take QPCR virtual seminars. Can't get away for time specific training? Take QPCR online courses. Can't train on work time? Participate 24/7/365 from any device. And, if the challenge is budgetary, take advantage of the limited-time introductory offer of $999 for members or $1,499 for non-members, plus FREE registration to a CoreNet Global Summit and admittance to a pre-Summit QPCR seminar. Pay once and benefit for the next two years. The complimentary Summit registration and seminar alone are worth the investment. Here's how it works. The candidate completes a total of 80 hours of content within two years. The QPCR designation encourages each candidate to personalize the designation to meet their needs and interests. Like a cafeteria menu, the candidate can pick and choose those learning opportunities that are of interest from the curriculum. The curriculum is a dynamic grouping of content that changes as the knowledge and skill requirements and emerging topics within the profession change. The curriculum that was available at for the February 2018 launch of the designation has already evolved as we identified new topics for inclusion. A major distinction exists between the MCR and SLCR designations and the QPCR. Even though candidates only need to complete 80 hours of content to earn the designation within two years, they have access to the full curriculum for that entire time period. If they choose, they can take advantage of the full range of learning. No matter how quickly candidates earn the designation, they have access to everything in the package for the full two years and can continue to benefit from participation with no additional cost. The QPCR designation prepares you to be tomorrow's CRE professional today. It offers an ideal introduction to the profession and a great way to prepare for the rigors of the MCR and SLCR designations. Along the way you gain valuable knowledge and skills that can be applied in your role today. The QPCR curriculum is divided into three focus areas: • Building Your CRE Knowledge currently has 163 hours of learning available across 42 events. • Enhancing Your Business & Leadership Skills currently has 136 hours of learning available across 39 events. • Developing Your Professional Network ensures each candidate the opportunity to engage with others through multiple program options. This area of focus encourages candidates to give back to the profession as a socially responsible member while they build their professional network. And throughout the entire program, we provide multiple opportunities to broaden your network and global perspective. We currently have 56 candidates working to complete the designation. There is unlimited space for more. If you are just starting your CRE career or you manage associates who are just starting theirs, this is an opportunity to be one of the first to earn this distinctive new designation. The challenges of the future are best managed by those who prepare today. Be a part of something new and a leader among your peers. This program allows me to continue my education on my own time-line and personalize my learning. So far, the courses have been engaging and helpful in my current position. I look forward to completing the program!" Augusta Consiglio, from Sao Paulo: "I decided to [take] the course for the convenience, online I can manage my time .... since then my experience was above my expectations – content of the course is didactic and excellent and [enables me] through the virtual classes to be in touch with other CRE professionals around the world. I strongly recommend [anyone] still undecided, take the course!"
