Gordon Wyllie, MCr T he recent passing of my mentor has reminded me of how powerful a platform CoreNet Global is for members building their professional networks – and how instrumental he was in their professional networks – and how instrumental he was in getting it all started. getting it all started. H. Gordon Wyllie, MCR, passed away in July, leaving behind a long list of mentees within the association's membership who've benefi tted from his guidance over the years. Gordon was a founding member, chairman and CEO of NACORE International, a predecessor organization that integrated with the International Development Research Council (IDRC) to form CoreNet Global in 2002. He was a coach, father fi gure and constant presence in my life for the past 20 years and I'm still adjusting to my new normal without his voice on the other end of the line. He was my champion, cheerleader, critic, confi dante and comic relief all rolled into a one-of-a-kind, larger-than-life character.
