Osgood, Jr. Claire Rowell Nadeem Shabbar Phil Wales Rumi Walsh Chris White Lindsay Wilson Ebert remembered for vision, leadership in CoreNet Global Former Executive Director of the International Development Research Council (IDRC), Larry P. Ebert passed away in July, leaving a legacy of visionary leadership for both the association and the numerous member companies he worked for during a long career in corporate real estate. IDRC merged with NACORE International to form CoreNet Global in 2002. Shortly after graduating from law school in 1977, Ebert took a job as a real estate lawyer at Mead Corp. He later became director of real estate for Boise Cascade, then executive director at IDRC, then national director of real estate for Ernst & Young. It was in those days – the mid- to late 1990s – that Ebert was one of the leading thinkers in the groundbreaking Corporate Real Estate 2000 SM research. "I always thought of Larry as a bright light – always a smile, always a wry comment, always supportive, always attentive to people around him," recalls Michael Joroff, senior lecturer at MIT. "I liked how he talked about his profession and his family with the same passion." After serving as senior vice president of corporate real estate for Capital One, Ebert was at Grubb & Ellis, then Cushman & Wakefi eld, before serving as president of LPE Advisors. "With Larry's passing I lost my former manager, mentor and a great friend," says Bryan Berthold, MCR, managing director, workplace strategy, Cushman & Wakefi eld. "Larry brought his faith, a great passion and inspiration to all he led. Best of all, he could light up a room with his sense of humor and could make any assignment fun. I had the fortune to partner with him on Capital One's Future of Work program that garnered CoreNet Global's Global Innovator's Award." Ebert remembered for vision, leadership in CoreNet Global
