Previously, he was vice president of Enter- prise Real Estate Services at UnitedHealth Group. A new San Francisco Bay area offi ce of Biggins Lacy Shapiro & Co. will be led by Managing Director Andy Shapiro, who joined BLS & Co. in 2001. In addition to serving as managing director, he leads the fi rm's Location Advisory practice. Melissa Smith-Groff, co-chair of Husch Black- well LLP's Corporate Real Estate group, has been celebrated as one of Real Estate Forum magazine's 2017 Women of Infl uence. She is a partner for Real Estate, Development & Construction at Husch Blackwell. Neville M. Devlaliwalla has been named manager of Corporate Real Estate for SAS, based in Cary, North Carolina. He will help defi ne and drive SAS's real estate strategy, portfolio guidelines, lease transactions and lease administration functions. Neville also serves on the CoreNet Global Carolinas Board as the Young Leaders committee chair. Here are a few of the things happening at CoreNet Global Members on the Move Association Roundup Annual conference in India taps into hot topics The 4th Annual India Conference was held in June, welcoming some 230 delegates to Bangalore. After opening remarks from CoreNet Global CEO Angela Cain, about CoreNet Global's strength, and from India co-chairs Shamsher Sindhu, of Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Ram Chandnani, CBRE managing director, about the local CRE dynamics, the group heard from keynote speaker and journalist, Shekhar Gupta. Gupta covered the effects of some world and local news on the corporate real estate (CRE) profession, as well as India's unlocked potential and how the nation is changing. Breakout sessions at the India conference covered a range of key topics, including: • How the Indian CRE market has fared so far in 2017 and what lies ahead • New offi ce environments for live, work and play • Robotics and other disruption in CRE • Staying relevant in changing markets Among the topics explored during the conference were the India government's push for economic initiatives, the millennial workforce, and the "offi ce of the future."
