i ndia Chapter reviews country's National Capital r egion The India Chapter of CoreNet Global explored the evolution and prospects for the future of the country's National Capital Region (NCR) at a paneled August event. Panelists Bhumesh Gaur of American Express India Pvt. Ltd., Sanjay Dutt of Ascendas Singbridge, Sumeet Anand of Genpact, and Namrata Kaul of General Electric joined moderator Ram Chandnani of CBRE and CoreNet Global Chapter Co-Chair to discuss the area's real estate dynamics, particularly those of Gurgaon and Noida. Also covered were the issues of global development and foreign investments, and the strong influence of the NCR on India as a whole. Malaysia members study Co re f undamentals Around 40 members and guests of the Malaysia Chapter of CoreNet Global got together this August in Kuala Lumpur, where Corporate Real Estate (CoRE) Fundamentals Modules 1 (Corporate Real Estate: What's It All About) and 3 (Trends and Issues) were presented by Malaysia Chapter Vice Chair Previndran Singhe of Zerin Properties. Attendees at the "Evolution of Office Market in NCR and What the Future Holds" conference in Gurgaon. th E l E a DER DECEMBER 2017 9 C a P comes to annual close in Northern California The Northern California Chapter of CoreNet Global officially closed its 2016/2017 CoreNet Apprentice Program (CAP) with a Capstone class in August. This summer, the group paired five talented real-estate-oriented undergrad students from UC Berkeley – Cassandra Clay, Tyler Zhou, Gabriel Grossman, Luis Valadez, and Wilton Qiu – with five host companies from its CoreNet Global membership. Host-company representatives were Barry Toner, Vishal Shah, Jeff Gagnon, Don Davis, Jessica Hanks, and Dave Nel- son. The team also gives props to Brian Thomas, Abraham Villarreal, Eoin McCarthy, Molly Griffin, and Lori Edwards for "making CAP happen." Philippines Chapter holds first MC r seminar The Philip- pines Chapter of CoreNet Global in September launched its first MCR seminar, with 25 corporate real estate professionals (pictured) in attendance from a diverse range of major corporations throughout the country. Following the seminar, a launch party for the event featured comments from Philippines Chapter Chair Tim Carr, Vice Chair Victor Maningo, and Chapter Learning Officer Joey Radovan, MCR. Providing instruction for the class were CoreNet Global Singapore Chapter Chair Mok Weng Yeong and Singapore Chapter Vice Chair Desmond Chee. Hospitality presented as a business strategy The CoreNet Global New York City Chapter was host for Union Square Hospitality Group CEO Danny Meyer's presentation on the principles of his book, "Setting the Table: The Transforming Power of Hospitality in Business," at an event in September. Meyer addressed the difference between service and hospitality and how to differentiate your business in a competitive marketplace through the client experience. Kansas City members take tour of mixed-use development The Kansas City Chapter of CoreNet Global en- joyed a tour of Corrigan Station at Kansas City's Crossroads Arts District in October.
